Literacy and Math Consulting for School Communities

We offer workshops and curriculum development for school communities including teachers, coaches, administrators, and curriculum coordinators.

Workshops: We plan and structure our workshops to focus on topics that feel relevant, timely, and meaningful for your school community. These topics are organic and grow from our discussion with organization leaders and teachers.  Some of our past popular workshops include:

• Let’s Play to Learn! High-leverage Games and Routines to Support Critical Literacy and/or Mathematics Ideas

Curriculum Development: We are familiar with gaps in literacy and mathematics curricula where administrators and teachers are left to plan logistics, but are often not given the time, appropriate tools, or professional development support to do so.  We have firsthand experience with implementing balanced literacy and mathematics curricula that are aligned to the Common Core / Next Generation Standards and elicit engaging and meaningful learning experiences that meet the diverse needs of all students.  We can support your company or school in creating supplemental materials that align with your preferred literacy or mathematics curriculum.  This might include:

• a year-long pacing calendar for the components of balanced literacy and/or mathematics.

• selecting and compiling classroom library lists with "just-right" and "high interest" texts to appropriately match readers.

• designing targeted small group instruction to support students’ individual needs in literacy and/or mathematics.
